80% Apparently...

Yes, according to my wife every room is 80% finished, so for the mathematicians amongst you that's 20%  more work per room I have to do...I have been told that the last 20% is the most difficult and time consuming but that seems to fall on deaf ears...I think that basically decorating 80% of the whole house in a month or so is pretty good going - especially as I am also running a business and doing all the child care and the house work and the cooking...again responsive ears are hard to find...so on with the grind...

Photographically the last two months have been frustrating as you may have gathered from the last few blogs, but I have many plans for the autumn and winter and am lucky enough to live close to suitable locations for wildlife and landscapes...so look out for images as the year draws to a close...

The other day I ran a Lightroom for Beginners course, which went well - the students leaned a lot in a short space of time and the cake was excellent - thanks Chris for that, doilies next time I promise! We covered basic file storage, filtering and most importantly basic editing using graduated filters as well as the standard controls. I am looking forward to seeing their results.

So, what have I been shooting? Well every morning I drive our son to school and we have found a route away from the busy road, over the fen. Landscape shots are a possibility - here are a few from this last few weeks...

I can see winter skies and glowering clouds over some of these...

In addition, the orchard has been fruitful (pun intended) with late summer invertebrates - particularly a colony of four-spotted orb spiders...

They come in a variety of colours and at this time of year get quite big (for a UK species that is...) The pond and the garden in general continue to provide (albeit limited) subjects...

Relatively pleased with these images - but the quest to get better continues...

Some more images from the past few weeks...

Super moon from the night of the eclipse...

Resin oozing from an apple tree...

It's that time of year again...

And...that about wraps it up for the time being...I am still coming to terms with the debacle of the Rugby World Cup and am considering who to turn my allegiance...anyone got a suggestion?

I bid you farewell until next time...

Peace to you all...
