Yep - this is my last post before Christmas and I expect you are all prepared...presents bought and wrapped; turkey ordered; veg stored away; sprouts boiling away? Nope? Well get on with it!!!
Today (Saturday) we went out with the rest of the masses and did some last minute shopping - why do we all leave it until the last minute? I suppose Christmas wouldn't be Christmas if we didn't put ourselves through the stress shopping without a clue what we will buy...
Photographically it has been an OK week...managed to get out with my camera at least once around Ely...

Before this, last Sunday we went down to Welney Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust Reserve to watch the wild swans at dusk...an old friend of mine is now warden down there and it was great to see him again and catch up...After listening to an interesting talk about the wild swans that use the reserve - whooper and Bewick's, we watched him put some grain out for the birds - great views of wildfowl for everyone but especially Quinn, who was enthralled... The visit ended as the sun set and we witnessed thousands of whooper swans flying in to roost...a magical experience - I cannot recommend it highly enough...

Of course over the Festive break I shall be updating my Facebook page... as always and of course my Flickr page... on an almost daily basis...
